Description:Two Clifton "Indian Ware" Art Pottery Vessels - c. 1906-1911. Large Globular Bowl with Circular Neck, and a Handled Pitcher with Squat Body and Narrow Neck. The first of Red Clay Body with Relief Slip Decoration in Native Pottery Style in Black and Ochre colors; incised FOUR MILE RUIN ARIZONA with Incised Cipher Style B on side; Incised CLIFTON signature under base; 6 " H x 9 " W. Condition: usual surface discolorations and rubs, perhaps in the making. A very small, clean chip on the top rim. The second of Red Clay Body with Slip Decoration in Native Style of Four Crab-like forms in Red and Geometric Details in Black; molded FOUR MILE RUIN ARIZONA Mark and Molded Cipher Style B on side over Shape Number 230; Incised CLIFTON under base; 4 " H x 5 " diameter. Condition: usual surface discolorations and rubs, perhaps in the making.
