JERRY (JEROME) SHURR, (American, born 1940), Serigraph on Paper, BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA, image 16 inches x 20 ½ inches, with margins, matted and framed under glass in silver metal 22 ½ inches x 26 ¼ inches overall.. Pencil numbered, titled, dated, signed and inscribed to his parents in the lower margin “12/70—BIG SUR----1977—Jerome Shurr”, with artist’s logo in the image at lower right. A stunning, early precisionist image by this noted painter and printmaker. Condition: Very Good, with light overall paper toning; the print is not laid down or glued to the support; it is suspended by three small tape hinges along the top edge. We thought there were some stains in the image of the moon, but close examination reveals he was actually illustrating the craters on the moon.
